Expert Parenting Support for Every Step of Your Journey
Our IBCLC-led service supports families with breastfeeding, chestfeeding, bottle feeding, combination feeding, exclusive pumping, and everything in between. We listen, support, and create care plans together, keeping your family’s feeding goals at the heart of every decision.
We specialise in helping families navigate feeding challenges, including colic and reflux, milk supply concerns, slow weight gain, positioning and latch difficulties, weaning, toddler feeding, tandem feeding, and more.
For babies who have had a tongue-tie division (frenulotomy), we provide functional feeding support to help optimise oral function and feeding after treatment.
For more intensive and regular support following an Initial Consultation, Follow ups can be booked in blocks of 5 with a saving of £90
An IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) is a highly trained professional who has completed over 90 hours of lactation-specific education, 5 hours of communication-focused training, and has gained more than 1,000 hours of experience supporting families with breastfeeding. To become certified, an IBCLC must also pass a comprehensive 4-hour exam. Additionally, they are required to recertify every 5 years by continuing their education or retaking the exam. IBCLCs are skilled in addressing complex feeding issues and adhere to a strict code of conduct to ensure the best care for you and your baby.
Emily, our Lactation Consultant, is a Registered Nurse and Health Visitor with a understanding of medical treatments and pathways for conditions like cow’s milk protein allergy, mastitis, colic, thrush, reflux, and more. While she can identify potential symptoms and provide a detailed report to share with your GP, she is not able to make a formal diagnosis. As a nurse prescriber, Emily can help guide you, but prescriptions must be obtained through your GP, in line with her practice outside of the NHS.
We routinely weigh infants during feeding assessments to track their progress. For infants under 2 years old, we ask that clothes be removed to ensure an accurate reading. All members of The Natal Network have an enhanced DBS check, and your consent will always be obtained before any intervention.
We’ve had excellent success with our care plans, and many families see great results. However, achieving the desired outcome requires commitment from you as well. While we can’t guarantee results, Ongoing support is available to book throughout your journey to ensure you have the best chance of success in meeting your feeding goals. We’re here for you every step of the way.
